StockerYale Announces the Availability of the Lasiris™ PowerLine Laser

High Power Laser Line Generator for Fast-Speed Machine Vision and Medical Applications

SALEM, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StockerYale, Inc. (NASDAQ: STKR - News), a leading independent designer and manufacturer of structured light lasers, LED modules, specialty optical fibers for industry leading OEMs and other photonics-based products, today announced the availability of the Lasiris(TM) PowerLine laser, a new addition to the Company's growing family of structured light lasers.

The PowerLine is a laser line generator developed for demanding industrial machine vision and medical applications. Compact in design, this thermoelectrically cooled laser is able to emit uniform laser lines at high powers, up to 1 W in infrared and 500 mW in red, and demonstrates exceptional beam pointing stability as a function of temperature.

"The addition of the PowerLine laser to our product pipeline bridges the power gap between our existing SNF and Magnum series lasers, and also provides substantial price savings for our clients," said Nicolas Cadieux, Vice-President Sales for StockerYale's Illumination Group. "OEMs in particular will be able to utilize StockerYale's technology to increase the processing speeds of their machines, often used in sophisticated inspection, mapping, and visualization applications. It is also suitable for outdoor applications where high-intensity laser beams are required due to the ambient light," he added.

The availability of the PowerLine laser along with the recent acquisition of U.K. laser diode specialist, Photonic Products Ltd., will enhance StockerYale's comprehensive offering of a complete family of high quality laser modules, from simple laser spot projectors to high performance laser pattern generators.

The PowerLine laser will be showcased at the Photonics West tradeshow in San Jose, CA, from January 23-25 in booth #1327.
